Description
Premium compression spigots mechanically anchor the glass to the spigot with a bolt passing through the glass to fix the panel in place. This means the glass cannot come loose and is able to withstand weather events such as strong winds and storms.
Friction spigots use a grub screw to clamp onto the glass panel to hold it in place. This style of spigot are more affordable as they use a more simplistic mounting system. Friction spigots may require occasional tightening to keep a firm grip on glass panels, particularly around panels that experience more movement, for instance the panels near the pool fence gate. Friction spigots have the tendency to flex if they’re overtightened whereas compression spigots will not flex.
Where possible we always encourage customers to use a Premium Compression Spigot for their frameless glass pool fence.
