Choosing the right colour for your aluminium pool fence or front fence can make or break an outdoor area. Many of our customers are unsure which colour to use on their fence and there are a few factors to consider.
The most obvious consideration is whether you want to match existing colours that are used on your property. A common approach is to match the colour of your aluminium fence with the colours of your guttering, downpipes and / or roofing.
Depending on the way your house is styled your roof and guttering may already be the same colour, or in some instances the guttering and downpipes are a different colour to the roof. Using the approach of matching colours used on your home will allow you to keep a consistent feel and will make it look like your fence was a part of the original build.

Whilst it is common to match the fence with the guttering or other accent colours, many customers choose black as the colour of their aluminium panels. This is particularly popular with aluminium pool fencing. Whilst black may seem like a bold colour to choose it is actually the colour that is most likely to blend into the surroundings, making the fence less intrusive when viewing the pool and outdoor area.
Heritage green is another colour that is likely to blend into the surroundings as it matches the colour of grass and trees. Mid grey colours also are a popular choice on the discreet side.
When choosing your colour you should also consider the style of fence you are installing. A flat top panel is the most discreet design and will compliment the decision to choose a discreet colour such as satin black or heritage green.
Other designs such as spear top which are more of a statement style of fence and may be more suited to brighter colours.
Ultimately, when you choose your aluminium fence panel colour you need to decide on something that you’re comfortable with and is in keeping with the vision you have for your property.
